On a concourse in Victoria, stands a lonesome pub,

Just below....

Is the on-street home,

Of the closest friends I know. 

 

It's Wetherspoons and very, very soon,

We’ll be going in, 

For I know what’s waiting there for me, 'neath that cheap-brand gin.

 

In…. the…. puke-riddled fountain of a hangover, 

On the trail of a sub-quid pint. 

In the pale moonshine, we smoke outside, 

She coughs-up her guts and I cough-up mine,

 

Oh ‘Spoons, like your lager so true. 

Two quid breakfasts; I'm so thankful for you..... 

In the shame-addled paranoia of a hangover,
